Golf Course Closing for Season: October 7, 2025

The $2 million, 100% donor-funded bunker renovation is well underway at Aldeen Golf Club! It started on August 25, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of November, 2025. Due to some unforeseeable delays and the need to work simultaneously on both the front and back nine to complete the project on time, we’ve decided to close the course for the season on October 7, 2025. This will also allow the new turf to adequately take root and ensure optimal course conditions for the 2026 golf season. Crews will continue to work on the renovation until all holes are completed.  

We could not be more excited to share the incredible upgrade with our customers and supporters, and we believe everyone will share in that excitement when we re-open in spring of 2026. In the meantime, please join us on October 19 at 1 pm for a Bunker Preview! Our knowledgeable team will take you on a walking tour of the back nine and explain the changes and upgrades.

Tee Time Information

Aldeen will have 9 holes open at a time for the remainder of the season. If you’d like to play 18 holes please make sure 18 holes is selected when booking your time. You will be automatically booked for a second tee time 2 hours and 10 minutes after your first tee time. If that time is not available you will be booked for the closest available time. You can also book 2 separate tee times at the times that work best for you!

Bunker Renovation Special Pricing

$25 for 9 holes with a cart

$50 for 18 holes with a cart

$15 to walk 9 holes (Eagle/Birdie members = $7)

$30 to walk 18 holes (Eagle/Birdie members = $14)

Cart for 9 holes: $10 per player, plus tax

Cart for 18 holes: $20 per player, plus tax

Project FAQ

When will renovations be complete?
The renovation is projected to be completed by the end of November, 2025.

What does the renovation consist of?
All bunkers are being rebuilt using the Better Billy Bunker System method, which is known for its durability and effectiveness in handling rain and moisture. The project also consists of reduction of overall bunker square footage as well as some fairway reshaping.

How is the renovation being funded?
The renovation is 100% donor funded thanks to generous donations from The Norris and Margaret Aldeen Foundation for Rockford and Rick and Lana Engen.
